🌎 Born in England, live in Wales.
🧠 Psychology BSc, MSc & PGDip Psychotherapy.
💻 I’ve worked in Marketing for 6 years.
👯 1:1 work is my jam. I thrive off connecting with people and put special emphasis on the psychological work.
🏋️ I love CrossFit (5/10 ability, 10/10 enthusiasm).
👀 I don’t aspire to build an empire. I’ve built a life-first business that prioritises freedom, purpose and joy and help others do the same.
For the longest time I have been interested in understanding how we think and why we do the things we do. So much so that I have been studying psychology and therapy for 8 years now (due to finish Summer 24).
As you are likely to know and understand, university does not come cheap. In order to pay my way, I worked in digital marketing for 5 of those postgraduate years.
Whilst in digital marketing, I felt a gaping void in my work. I wasn’t doing what I loved or felt passionate about, and it was a hard pill to swallow given I had so many years in academia. I battled this incongruence daily, but never feeling brave enough to quit before I had qualified. And then something awful happened. My mum was diagnosed with Leukaemia and I pretty quickly fell into an existential crisis.
Mums illness had put everything into perspective. Life could be taken away at any second and I was stuck in an office 9-5, holidaying 25 days a year and quite frankly, f*cking miserable. Needless to say, I quit my job.
Not long after this, I went to brunch with some of my therapist friends (who had qualified ahead of me due to the break I’d taken to process my mums illness). Each one of them shared stories of overwhelm, confusion and loneliness around the business and marketing side of their private practice. It was at this moment that it dawned on me, therapists need help, and I’m the perfect person to give it.
Fast forward to today, I have combined my background in psychology, therapy and marketing to create a unique, evidence based and value-led approach to marketing mentoring.
Since quitting my job, I no longer feel like a slave to my work and I’m instead intentional with my time and the people I help. I get to connect and work with other incredible therapists and business owners with similar values and aspirations to my own - and oh man is it the best feeling in the world. I’ve built a business that prioritises the life I want to live. I now have the freedom to work when I want, travel when I want and spend more time with loved ones. Plus lets not forget the simple things like slow mornings, exercising when I want and impromptu days off.
I'm only gutted I didn't do it sooner. It took me way too long to get here. Self doubt, fear, limiting beliefs, perfectionism...you name it. I now know the only person who was in my way was me. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping other ambitious, freedom-seeking therapists to build a sustainable, joyful, life-first business too.
It’s out there, go get it.
